The Choss Whisperer - 7 minutes

National Geographic Explorer Mike Libecki continues his addiction to unexplored Earth in hopes of standing on a first ascent, but as the saying goes, "When life looks like easy street, there is danger at your door." Sometimes one of the most difficult things on an expedition is to try and define the line between dangerous and too dangerous...sometimes coming home alive is success.

Where The Wild Things Keep Playing - 4 minutes

An ode to the athlete who relishes in getting dirty, who chuckles after a long day in the mountains, effortlessly glides through the crystal clear waves and most importantly, is unapologetic in pursuing their love of getting rowdy in adventures. Director Krystle Wright brings this next installment since the wild things never stopped playing.

Alter Ep2 - 3 minutes

In “Alter” we see the world around us through the eyes of our athletes who, via sport, have totally changed the way they see the world. In this second episode, we tell the story of Jamie Foy’s fantastical freestyle with a standard stair-set and its surreal double life, all set to the voice of 1979 Skater of the Year, Steve Olson. You may just see a set of stairs, but Jamie sees a world of possibility.

Charge - 4 minutes

Four top freeskiers and a World Champion drone pilot are dropped at Chatter Creek, BC for one week. Their instructions: charge as hard as you can everyday. Featuring Stan Rey, Cody Townsend, Chris Rubens, Alexi Godbout and Jordan Temkin.

Full Circle - 4 minutes

This film was a project with a focus on going back to one of Ampisound's very first styles of parkour video, getting as close as possible. The legends at Wiral and GoPro hooked us up with a wire system and a 360 camera, so we knew it was perfect for a unique parkour video. The shots you can get with the wire cam especially are beyond anything we've ever done before and its so much easier than a drone. We shot the project over a few months with the Ampisound team and some of our friends, mostly grabbing one take wonders with the 360 cam on a long selfie pole. The editing for this project was particularly challenging, with lots of complicated reframing and transitions for the 360 footage.

Out on a Limb - 10 minutes

Three years ago, as a result of falling down an escalator, 33-year-old former estate agent Daniel Wilson became paralysed from the waist down following severe hemorrhaging during vital spinal surgery. Fuelled by the pure adrenaline that comes from this exhilarating and perilous sport, this is Dan’s second time in attempting to master adaptive skiing. However, despite facing the hazardous mountain terrain, being away from his home in the UK presents a much larger challenge. With regular medication needed as well as constant maintenance of various physical ailments, Dan must not neglect his health and daily care routine, despite being immersed in the excitement and intensity of the trip. 24-year-old vlogger Isaac Harvey was born with limb/pelvis hypoplasia, a condition that means Isaac has short legs, no arms and must use his feet for all of his daily activities. This is Isaac’s first time on the mountain, and with the aid of Deffi Sports, an adaptive ski company, he will be fitted into a customised chair that is perfectly adapted to his body. For the week, all of Isaac’s trust is placed in the hands of those who control his chair. Travelling at speeds of 40MPH down the mountain, Isaac must give up control of his own movement and summon the strength to not succumb to extreme motion sickness. In 2010, former scaffolder Geoff Gaynord fell and broke his back at work. He awoke to find a doctor telling him that he would never walk again. Since the accident, this ski trip is Geoff’s first time travelling outside the UK alone. Through the mental and physical exertion that the week demands, from starting out with an assistant to tackling the slopes by himself, Geoff will discover the sheer adrenaline, liberation and new-found freedom that skiing offers.

Sammy Carlson - Over Time - 7 minutes

A cinematic, high-caliber short film featuring the best shots from a full winter with pro skier Sammy Carlson. There is no story, but we are using the theme of 'time' through voice over, time-lapses, Phantom 4K shots, and nature to supplement the shredding. It was filmed purely in the heart of B.C. backcountry; powder, pillows, lines, backcountry booters, and a bunch of quality follow-cam.

Son's Gonna Rise: A Father-Son Story - 5 minutes

For Ethan and Andrew Shandro, time in the outdoors has always revolved around riding bikes. Of course, when your dad is a two-time World Cup winner and a freeride legend, it’s not surprising to learn that the bike would play a huge role in shaping Ethan’s youth. But that’s not the point here. The point is that you don’t have to be one of the world’s best mountain bikers to have an amazing experience with your kids in the woods. You just gotta go into those woods with your kids and then good things will happen. After all, there’s no better way to nurture a relationship than time spent outside. And maybe one day... your little shredder will be leaving you in their dust.
