Chasing big mountains!

Jimmy Hyland

Shot in such a personal and intimate style, this film made me feel like I was there. A very cool tale of extreme alpinism.

Simon Taylor

“Link Sar” is a short film about an elite American alpinist navigating his relationships and motivations while attempting to climb and survive one of the world’s most challenging unclimbed peaks: Link Sar, in the high mountains of Pakistan.

Sustainability Notes

While this film is in many ways simply a climbing film, it is also demonstrative of mountains as a metaphor. All of the team's members take this metaphore into their personal lives to dive into work in education, environment social equity, and climate policy. The director of the film, Graham Zimmerman takes this on through his roles with Protect Our Winters and The American Alpine Club. Finally, while carbon offsets are not a final solution, they are a stepping stone towards understanding our society's footprint, and therefore the team offset both of the expeditions to Link Sar.
