Stretching from just outside Glasgow and finishing in Fort William, the 95 mile (153km) West Highland Way is a world-famous, multi-day route loved by adventurers from all over the world. Made up of everything from single track paths to scrambles and gravel roads all over a gruelling 10,351ft of climbing. In 2011, Rab Wardell first set the FKT for the route on a mountain bike at 12h 15m. Since then the bar has been raised higher and higher by some seriously talented riders, with Gary MacDonald of Fort William, setting an impressive time of 9h 28m in August this year.
