Sustainability

Sheffield Adventure Film Festival aims to increase its sustainability and reduce its ecological impact annually, promoting a more thoughtful & methodical approach to adventure in wild and urban places, that in turn can be applied to day-to-day life.

In so doing, we aim to:

· Reduce single use plastic use in festival by becoming Plastic Clever

· Promote car sharing, public transport & lower carbon forms of transport for travelling to, from and around the festival. 

· Encourage our audience to bring reusable bottles

· Reduce electricity use where practical

· Provide the facility for used gear to be sold on rather than thrown away

· Promote repairing and caring for kit/equipment

· Invite outdoor environmental charities, groups and individuals to raise awareness and education

· Work with ShAFF Ambassadors to raise awareness of our pledge and core values
