The Farthest Shore: hiking the Cape Wrath Trail in winter with author Alex Roddie

In February 2019, award-winning writer Alex Roddie set out to walk 300 miles through the Scottish Highlands, seeking solitude and answers. The story of his winter Cape Wrath Trail is told in his book, The Farthest Shore. In this talk Alex will explore some of the factors that drove him to attempt Britain's toughest long-distance hike in the winter months – and what he learned both about himself and our changing mountain climate.
