Our Judges say:

A lovely meandering pace to an unexpected adventure in the Scottish highlands

Hannah Maia

Women's skateboarding in the Scottish Highlands - fabulous, fun short film!

Paul Hodgson Music Judge

In A Land For Everyone we follow Hannah and Lyndsay through the wild winding roads of Torridon as they explore the belief that “respect, protect and share” applies in the outdoors, skateboarding, sport, the land, and everyday humanity. As we revisit and reclaim the highlands and lowlands of their youth, their goal is to challenge perspectives - combining their love of adventure and the outdoors, with their passion to protect it and invite more people into these spaces. Proving that you don’t have to fit the stereotypical narrative for what a skateboarder or outdoors person looks or acts like, to embrace everything that the land has to offer.

Sustainability Notes:

The shared use of land is a key part of this film, highlighting how we can all share the road - driving, skating, biking. The process of the film itself was low impact, though we explored the places via car over the space of 3 days, we used one car between us and we also stayed with low-impact - one night in a local b&b, one night in a bothy, and one wildcamping. We wanted to show the beauty of Scotland and the UK, and show that you don't need to fly across the world to have an adventure.
