The motivation to make this film stemmed from a deep love for the ocean and a drive to spark compelling inspiration to protect it. As a competitive swimmer and cold water surfer myself, I became fascinated by the sport of ice swimming. When attempting an ice mile, the line between life and death is so thin, yet it remains one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever witnessed. I hope Skin Swimmer will inspire viewers to find unique ways to immerse themselves in nature to fully experience the magnitude of benefits for not only themselves, but for the planet.

Sustainability Notes:

Skin Swimmer reflects the power of nature at its core, driving viewers to get out of their comfort zone and truly make no excuse but to spend time out in the ocean or in the mountains. This film strips down life to the basic necessities and discusses the benefits of nature on the mind. The goal is to inspire viewers to protect the earth by falling in love with it.
