Striking musical soundtrack. Not surprisingly, this film is the first time I've heard a Beatles classic in the Mya language.Simon Taylor
Gorgeous, reflective short about surf board making and surfing in Burma. Excellent sound track.Paul Hodgson Music Judge
In a fishermen's village of the Bay of Bengal, a group of young Burmese kids live their happy-go-lucky life with a unique obsession: surfing. They are the first, the only ones. Meanwhile in Yangon, a determined craftsman begins to shape the very first teakwood surfboard; a symbol for the future generations breaking the status quo. Just like a tale, Springtide celebrates this instinctive need to follow your dream.
