Celebrating 60 Years Of The Pennine Way

A warm, celebratory talk about the beautiful 268 miles of The Pennine Way

About

Starts

22 Mar '25 | 4:00pm

Ends

22 Mar '25 | 5:00pm

60 years of the 268 mile trail spanning down the spine of the country from Edale to Kirk Yetholm.

We'll be joined by Fredi Chohan, who at the age of 54, completed the Pennine Way with a lot of determination and humour, and not a lot of experience. Navigating her experiences of personal loss, the trail provided a healing space for her.

Joining Fredi will be a representative from the Yorkshire Dales National Park who are curating celebrations this year to mark the trails 60th anniversary.

The panel will be hosted by Frit Tam, co-director of ShAFF and also the filmmaker of the film "The Pennine Way" starring Fredi Chohan (screening at ShAFF as part of the Walk collection), showing her up-and-down journey along the trail and in that chapter of her life.

Join us by bringing your experiences or your aspirations of the Pennine Way for a heart-warming and celebratory conversation together.

This session is free to attend but please cancel your ticket if you can no longer make it to give someone else the opportunity to book.
