TWO adventure film events in our backyard!
Hey everyone, we hope you've been out enjoying the lovely start to spring. We wanted to let you know about TWO brilliant adventure film events taking place in our backyard this Saturday.
Hope Valley Adventure Film Festival (HVAFF)
Each year, the Hope Valley Adventure Film Festival shows some of the best short films from ShAFF, as part of a great day of social bike rides, outdoorsy talks, clothes exchanges and food in Hope village. There's even £1,000 of prizes to be won in the raffle. This year they're showing:
Hughesy's Tri-Nation Triathlon
Tickets are just £12, and all proceeds go to the development of facilities at Hope Valley College. An undeniable bargain really!
The North screening
Even closer to home, Showroom has a special Director Q&A screening of The North on Saturday at 5pm, with other screenings of the film taking place from 24th April.
Bart Schrijver’s acclaimed drama follows former best friends and roommates Chris and Lluis, who meet up after a decade to hike Scotland’s West Highland Way and Cape Wrath Trail. Having taken the same 350-mile walk in their youth, the pair hope to rekindle their once-strong friendship by spending 30 days together in the majestic, raw beauty of the Scottish Highlands.
