ShAFF Retrospective Features - The Best Of 20 Years!

We have curated two very special programmes of films to celebrate 20 years of ShAFF - This is the Features Programme
 
Hélias Millerioux, Alex Marchesseau, Christophe Tricou, and Aurélien Lardy all lives in Chamonix. This cradle of world alpinism and expert skiing is their daily playground. They have all taken part in long and challenging high-altitude expeditions. They camped out on sheer cliffs, lost themselves on vast Himalayan glaciers, they have dug igloos to shelter from storms. The waiting, doubts, giving up, and success are experiences and emotions they know well and from which they have learned valuable lessons. They are also full of determination, strength, spirit, and good humor.

ShAFF first landed at the Showroom in March 2006. How you mark 20 years since that date, with Covid rearing its ugly head, is debatable, but either way, we are very happy to be celebrating 20 years. To mark the occasion we have crafted two AMAZING playlists for ShAFF fans. 

Over the weekend of Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th October we will be screening 20 of the very best, audience and judges favourite feature films, one from each year. The event will take place at the Showroom, hosted by festival director Matt Heason. Over the 20 years Matt has watched more than 5,000 adventure films. These are the best of the best. They will be screened in order, split into 8 manageable blocks of between 90 and 150 minutes. We'd really like to encourage our die-hardest of fans to sign up for the whole weekend, to immerse yourselves in a true evolution of adventure film. As such, until September 15th we will only be seeing a full weekend ticket. If there are seats left after September 15th we will release both Saturday and Sunday tickets as well as individual session tickets.
