In her mid forties, Tina Page went from non- runner to ultra runner to 500 mile endurance trail runner in just three years after being inspired to attempt the 'impossible'. She has cycled the length of Britain, hiked 1000 miles through western Europe and ran across Spain as a warm up to her recent attempt to complete the National 3 Peaks Challenge entirely on foot, solo and unsupported, a challenge that involved running 19 marathons in 19 days, climbing a total of 12,800 metres, carrying all her own kit and bivvying and bothying along the way.....oh, and eating an awful lot of flapjack! An important part of this challenge was also to raise awareness and much deserved funds for Mountain Rescue Teams, Search and Rescue Dogs and Mountain Protection charities. In this talk Tina shares the simple whys and hows of journeying from couch potato with dodgy knees to ultra endurance trail runner, shares her story of why she attempted on foot a challenge that most people take on with a car, and announces her next mountainous endeavour. Hoping to encourage at least one person to push themselves a little further than they thought possible Tina explains why you have to undertake your challenge your way.
