In conjunction with the Outdoor City Weekender and SHAFF film festival, SYO are running a free score event around the streets of Sheffield City Centre. Newcomers and experienced orienteers welcome. Format - Using a map to navigate, you have 45 minutes to find as many controls as you can around the streets, alleys and open spaces of Sheffield City Centre. We will using mobile phone GPS to record time taken and visits to control sites. The technology is compatible with Androids and Iphones. Registration, Start and Finish - outside the Showroom cinema, here. Start any time between 1-3pm. Course free if using the map on your phone but £1 donation for a printed large scale orienteering map. Individuals, pairs and groups welcome. Under 16s must be accompanied on the course due to road crossings.
