Climbers Against Cancer The charity began when the founder John Ellison was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in 2012. Although John lost his battle to cancer in 2015 the 3 trustees and the one member of staff who now take care of Climbers Against Cancer are dedicated to continuing his legacy. All the money that we raise goes directly to cancer research centres around the world. John wanted the money to go to the people with white coats and petrie dishes. In 2019 we donated £100,00.00 over four £25,000.00 donations and in 2020 we made 2 donations of £25,000.00. We are on track to make another 2 donations of the same amount in 2021, one to Germany and one to Mexico. Hopefully we will be able to continue this for for the forseeable future. Any administrative costs such as the running of the office and the one wage that we inncur comes from annual sponsorship. Our sponsors include such companies as Marmot, Entreprises, Climbskin, Equip and many more. We are always happy to have any new sponsors on board so if this is something that you feel you or your comany could do please ask our team for details. We are a small charity but our supporters span the world. We are the choosen charity of the IFSC and the cllmbing community as a whole.
