About
Our mission at Peak Running is to support everyday people to achieve their running dreams, whatever they may be. And our greatest satisfaction is seeing people achieve things they themselves didn’t believe they could do. Our ethos is based on two core beliefs: 1. That running can be about much more than times, mile-splits and set distances, it can be adventure - both physically and self discovery. 2.If you’re up for an adventure, the chances are you’ll find you’re capable of more than you ever believed you were. So, whether your goal is to get around your local parkrun without walking, beat your personal best for 10k, complete an ultra-marathon, or anything else in-between, we can help. Our approach is to make running fun and rewarding, improving health as well as fitness to achieve improved performance. Being based in Derbyshire, the home of the Peak District, we have a particular passion for getting out onto the trails and hills. So, as well as our main coaching service, we provide guided runs in some of the UK's most spectacular locations, and also support people new to off-road running to develop their skills. We are experienced race organisers too, so offer a range of services to help individuals or organisations get a new event off the ground or keep an existing one alive. As part of this year's ShAFF programme we are hosting a special Run & Talk event in conjunction with the Peak District National Park Foundation. This will be held on the evening of Friday 9th July and incorporates a guided run of around 5-miles, visiting the iconic Stanage Edge and the surrounding estate. It also provides an opportunity to find out about the great work the Foundation do and the #RunForTheBirds campaign to improve biodiversity and bird habitats in the area. Those with ShAFF film tickets get a discount (email info@peakrunning.co.uk for a code), and all profits from the event will support the work at Stanage. The run will be at a leisurely pace so suitable for all abilities. We just ask that you’re capable of running 5-miles continuously on easy terrain, although on the night it will be perfectly acceptable to walk the steeper hills. And we plan to finish in good time to back in Sheffield for the Running Films at 9pm
