Campfire Talk - Slymefoot Slide Film and talk from director Tommy Wilkinson
Having witnessed first hand the decline of English rivers, even on "his own" ecologically healthy river, Tommy was inspired to draw attention to the dire health of our water courses. Opening up the conversation to wider audiences, and connecting them to these veritable arteries of life is why this 2-3 bike packing, or bike-fishing route was created "My hope is that this komoot Collection not only get people out into remote Northumbrian spaces, but also recognise that we have to protect, and restore one of our most vital resources - water, rivers and what lives within them. "
Join Tommy Wilkinson and hear all about the development of the new bikepacking route and the last remnants of healthy English rivers in rural Northumberland. In this session you'll watch the Slymefoot Slide Film with the chance to ask questions about the film and project with the inspiring film director himself.
You can check out the 104km (65 miles) bikepacking route on komoot
