This film came to fruition thanks to a good friend Kev Shields, a professional ice climber, who introduced me to Emma Powell. A young woman who is attempting to make her name in the ice-climbing/dry tooling world. Her competitive accolades were already mounting in both UK and International competitions. She was ranked 1st in both female and male categories in the Mixed Masters dry tooling competition (UK) and is the only British person to podium in an Ice Climbing world-cup. Given Emma's height (5ft1), and her young age (21), these feats, which are impressive in their own right, become awe-inspiring. This film follows her deviation from competitive ice climbing and dry tooling, to a personal ambition of hers to climb Guardians of the Underworld. A route that she watched her idols climb throughout her childhood, never believing that one day she'd be good enough to attempt it herself.
