From the dusty archives of the Alpine Club to the heart of the Himalayas, filmmakers Matt Sharman and Dom Bush follow in the footsteps of legendary mountaineer and photographer Vittorio Sella – the pioneer who captured the first images of Mount Everest 125 years ago. Staying true to Sella’s extraordinary ethos and effort, the team set out for Nepal to find the exact spot where Sella stood in 1899, then recreate the iconic photograph on a large-format camera they’ve never used before.
