Outdoor adventure depends on wild places - but how we get to them is becoming just as important as how we enjoy them.

In this session Cat Ainsworth, CEO at Protect Our Winters UK introduces its work and current campaign, Clean Miles, which focuses on protecting the places we love to explore.

Cat will be joined by Tobias Yoh from Storm (a POW UK partner), for a short Q&A exploring how outdoor brands can take meaningful, practical steps toward sustainability without greenwashing - from materials and repair to responsibility and transparency.

This is a conversation about how we adventure in a changing world and how the outdoor community can lead real change.

More About Cat and Tobias

Cat Ainsworth leads the team at Protect Our Winters UK, empowering the outdoor community to take meaningful climate action. Through advocacy, education and collaboration Protect Our Winters UK drives systemic change equipping individuals with the tools to act and building alliances across the UK outdoor sector and championing policy-focused climate solutions. As a qualified ski instructor (who learnt to ski at Sheffield Ski Village) and with a background in humanitarian response followed by running a technology cooperative, Cat brings a bold, community-first perspective to the climate and sport conversation.

Tobias Yoh is Marketing Director at Storm Care Solutions. As an outdoor enthusiast, ultra-runner & photographer working in the outdoor market, its easy to become obsessed with the gear and latest innovation, it's not so easy to accept that all of that can have an impact on the outdoor spaces we enjoy and strive to protect. It's a pleasure to join Cat on stage to discuss practical steps we all can apply during our adventures to get the most of our equipment with as little impact along the way.
