Brett Chapman is an award-winning independent filmmaker from Sheffield. His work has been featured across multiple BIFA and BAFTA qualifying festivals including BFI Flare, Leeds International Film Festival, Doc NYC, Encounters Film Festival, Short of the Week and London Short Film Festival. Interested in stories about relationships and the lesser-celebrated moments, Brett’s work often comprises of a mixed-media and collage inspired visual approach. Having originally trained as a journalist his work is not limited to a single genre or form. The use of obsolete and archaic technology in his films is a staple of his work and practice.

As an accomplished self-shooter and editor, Brett’s productions are born of a DIY and collaborative spirit which explores non-traditional and hybrid-departmental ways of working.
