Our Judges say:

Terrific, entertaining film about wild-rafting in Norway over multiple years. Has some hot ukulele action for those so inclined and good music throughout.

Banger of a film. Really epitomises what adventure is and can look like and in its 'normality' is then really inspiring. The two seem like such good fun. Thoroughly enjoyed this film!

In 2013, Ben and Hugo travelled to North Sweden to build a raft from salvaged materials in a small town near the source of the Vindel River. What began as fun 2-week holiday turned into an epic challenge - to travel 350km down the Vindelalven out to the Baltic Sea. With basic kit, limited experience, and almost no expectations, the two return to the river each year to continue the journey, hiding the raft (named Melissa) in the forest to await their return.

Sustainability Notes:

Throughout our journey, we have travelled to North Sweden by train or bus. It's a long way (2 days each way), and it can be quite pricey, but it's part of the adventure and it is important for us to keep our carbon footprint low. Our raft is made almost entirely from salvaged materials...but I guess that's kind of a pretty obvious part of the adventure!
