Mam Tor, Great Ridge walk and pub lunch

Join BMC ambassador Mary-Ann Ochota and the Mend Our Mountains team for a walk along Mam Tor and the Great Ridge. Take a look at why this campaign (which is sponsored by Cotswold Outdoor and Snow+Rock) is so badly needed, hear from local experts, then tuck in to a tasty pub lunch in nearby Castleton. 

This is a free event, but please register if you are attending. We are asking attendees to make a donation to Mend Our Mountains: Make One Million. Details: 

Please arrive at 09.30 for a 10.00 start. The walk will start from Castleton Visitor Centre, take in the climb up to Mam Tor and traverse the Great Ridge before dropping back down to Castleton near Lose Hill. 

For a shorter walk, the route can be joined at Mam Nick car park and if you wish to leave early, there are various drop-off points along the way. Following the walk, a pub lunch will be provided at the Peak Hotel in Castleton, where there will be an opportunity to ask any questions. All are welcome to join us on the walk but please bear in mind places are limited for the pub lunch afterwards. If you are attending Sheffield Adventure Film Festival and need transport from the Showroom Cinema/Sheffield, please indicate this when registering.
