WHAT'S ON FOR RUNNERS AT SHAFF
Get inspired for your weekend run with the first of two sessions featuring the best new running films from around the world, as we screen Run Films 1 on Fri 18 at 7:30pm. If you're meeting friends for Park Run, the morning session of Run Films 2 on Sat 19 at 10:30am is perfectly timed so you can head over to ShAFF afterwards, catch the films, then stay for coffee and cake in the Showroom bar.
If all those films inspired you to get out for a run, join the team from My Racekit North as they lead the LED Lenser night runs from 6pm on Sat 19 March. The £15 fee for these guided runs includes an LED Lenser headtorch worth £27.45! Meet at The Outpost at 6pm, where there will be two groups leaving at 6:30pm for either medium length (5-6 miles) or longer length (8-10 miles) run. The ShAFF night runs are always popular, so book soon to avoid disappointment. Or, if you'd like to try something a little different, give Orienteering a go with South Yorkshire Orienteers whose friendly volunteers will explain what to do and give you a map anytime between 10am and 5pm on Sun 20.
If you're new to fell and trail running, or want to improve your mountain and long distance skills, Dave Taylor's free talk How Hard, How Far, How Often? is for you. Come and see the Fell Running Guide at 2pm on Sun 20 at The Outpost. While you're there, drop off any unwanted running gear with ReRun Clothing to be re-used or recycled. Then, if you didn't catch it earlier, head over to The Showroom in time for Run Films 1 on Sun 20 at 3:15pm.
This year's Run Film sessions are sponsored by Rab, and anyone attending and voting for their favourite films will be in with a chance to win prizes from their brand new running range due to launch in Spring 2002!
