Event
Sprint event with S. Yorkshire Orienteers
After the success of the JK Sprint last year, S. Yorkshire Orienteers are back racing in Sheffield City Centre to encourage everyone coming to ShAFF to have a go at orienteering. With a choice of 3 different courses, there's something to suit everyone including families, runners and experienced orienteers. On the long and medium courses, expect intricate multi-level urban terrain designed to challenge even the best sprint orienteers. There's also a free mini course in Pinball Park for young children.
Who's it for?
Anyone can have a go at orienteering. The free mini course in Pinball park will particularly appeal to families with young children. Come and have a quick go before or after you watch your film! The short course is aimed at beginners and families. You can run or walk and take part individually or as part of a group. Our friendly volunteers will explain what to do. Our long and medium courses are aimed at those with navigation experience and will provide a good level of challenge to even the best sprint orienteers.
