This year ShAFF is buzzing with activities to inspire your young adventurers and empower them to find adventure in standing up for their own future.

Choose Your Own Adventure is an interactive screening giving our young audiences a chance to meet and be inspired by professional adventure activists and young people who are campaigning for a better future.

Reconnect with the buzz that nature lends our adventures in Mother Earth, take a moment to think about the challenges our planet is facing in Day Zero and Waterway Jay. Experience adventure through the eyes of children in The Adventure Effect and see the world in a different light through The UK in 100 Seconds. Let Tim Meek from Kids Against Plastic and #IWILL youth ambassadors and campaigners Amy and Ella Meek take you on a journey to discover the issues and causes that are important to you, and how you want to take a stand.

On Saturday, you'll get added inspiration from professional climber Pete Whittaker about his own journey towards standing up against fracking, and from the Friends of the Earth campaign team who helped him.

On Sunday, you can hear young spoken word artist Fionn McCloskey perform a piece about climate change and hear from the UK Youth Climate Coalition about #YouthStrike4Climate and how to stand up for a cleaner, fairer future.

You'll also be able to kickstart your own adventure with an afternoon of hands-on family-friendly workshops and adventure skills sessions on both days. Check out our full programme for young adventurers for more details.
