Komoot Route Planning Workshop and talk from Jen Lowthrop about her "A Walk in the Parks" project
Join komoot for a route planning and navigation workshop at Alpkit Hathersage. Find out how to use komoot to plan or discover routes for your next adventure. Whether you are an avid user or total newbie you can learn some tips and tricks in our workshop session from komoot Community Manager Grace. . We will also be joined by Jen Lowthrop to hear all about her recent project Her project is called "A Walk in the Parks" which saw her raising money for the charity Peak District National Park Foundation. Jen recently walked across all 10 national parks in England. Using Komoot to guide her daily hikes and ensure she didn't get lost(!), Jen and her rescue dog Cookie walked 1000 miles in 10 weeks. Jen will share how she planned her epic hike and stories from her adventure, including who she met along the way, what she learnt about national parks and why and how she raised £10,000 for the Peak District Foundation, which was match funded by The Alpkit Foundation. The evening will start at 7pm doors open from 6.30pm Thursday 14th March at Alpkit Hathersage. The event will finish at 9pm and is accessible by train using the Hathersage station or suggested parking at Oddfellows Road Car Park. .
