‘Focus’ is an annual event aimed at adventure filmmakers, it aims to educate, inspire and entertain. The event is curated and hosted by adventure filmmaker Paul Diffley of Hot Aches Productions. The day-long event is a mix of panel discussions, presentations and informal industry networking. It is open to anyone working in, or aspiring to work in the outdoor media world.

1000 -1030 Coffee & Networking

1030- 1200 Panel Discussion, ‘Raising the Bar' - Striving for Excellence in Adventure Film

Paul Diffley will chair a discussion on how filmmakers can elevate their work to achieve its maximum potential. The panel will include multi-award winning filmmaker, Ian Derry (‘Johanna Under the Ice’ ), Emma Brennand (Planet Earth II) and adventurer and filmmaker Ben Page (‘The Frozen Road’ ).

1200 - 1300 Lunch / Informal Networking

A buffet lunch will be provided. Please contact us if you have any special dietary requirements.

1300 - 1500 'How I Made' - Stories from the other side of the lens

Filmmakers give a presentation describing how their film was produced. With behind the scenes stories, filmmaking secrets and a chance for Q&A, these informal sessions are not to be missed.
