While our time outdoors has been restricted the ShAFF team have been revisiting past festivals and choosing the best adventure films from around the world. We've created weekly watchlists of free online adventure films for your indoor entertainment and inspiration, and we’re posting a new film, free to view online, at 7pm every day. Watch them one by one, or save them up and screen your own virtual ShAFF session at home.

When four middle aged working British mums announced they wanted to row the Atlantic Ocean, their families thought they had lost their minds. With an average age of 47 and two children each, the women had no ocean rowing experience when they decided to follow their dreams and attempt the unthinkable. Three years later they were lining up with some of the world’s strongest ocean adventurers at the starting line of the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge. Considered one of the toughest ocean endurance challenges known to mankind the odds were stacked against the mums from the start. This is the story of four ordinary women who dared to dream of becoming world record breakers as the oldest women to ever row an ocean. Four Mums in a Boat is a journey of determination, personal discovery and hope.

Wow, a massively inspiring and beautifully shot account of the 400k 8-day Cape Wrath Ultra race, following runners of all levels, male and female, with interviews, voice overs and absolutely stunning views of Scotland that make you want to enter this race immediately. They bring out the characters well with humour, and it wasn't all about the elites, it was the whole vibe and community spirit. It was heartwarming and you got a real sense of the camaraderie the race created. The race also seemed quite accessible as you can see the trails are relatively easy and not many runners seem to be completely utterly exhausted or emotional, apart from a wee cry at the end and a shock shot of some very trail-beaten feet! Winding through the beautiful lochs, glens and mountains of the Scottish Highlands, the Cape Wrath Ultra™ is an ultra-running expedition through some of the world's most inspirational landscapes, including Morar, Knoydart, Kintail, Torridon, Assynt and Sutherland.
This film follows the inaugural race's progress focusing on some of the first ever participants to take on this extraordinary adventure. The Cape Wrath Ultra™ took place in May 2016 and was filmed by Rich Heap and Ben Pritchard.

Bouldering champion, Angie Payne, leaves everything she knows behind as she ventures deep into the French Polynesian jungle with veteran climber and explorer, Mike Libecki. Their objective: to put up a first ascent on the south face of the Poumaka Tower. They somehow endure blood, sweat, and tears as the team climbs through mud and fear, into the unknown.

Tom is 11 and just loves riding his bikes with his dad, no matter what the terrain, no matter what the weather. Having completed 2 Strathpuffer 24hr races he has racked up the miles over the last few years. Driven to just enjoy being out, he has big plans as he looks to drag his dad along the 2,700+ miles of the Great Divide route later in the year.
